You desire to get your hair back, but you are not sure if you are a good candidate for hair transplant? Let us help you. Most of the men and women are a good candidate for hair transplant. Again, there are some factors which will be taken into consideration when assessing your case. Here they are…
Your donor area should be big enough so we can take enough grafts to cover your bald area. The grafts are taken from the side and back of your head. The follicles in this area cannot fall out. It means that you will not lose your transplanted hair.
You have to be at least 25 years old, because at that age your balding pattern becomes evident. When the patient is too young, his or her hair will continue to fall out. It means that an individual requires multiple further procedures in the future to keep up with the pattern of loss and maintain coverage.
General overall health
Your general physical and psychological condition should be stable. If you have any chronic condition, please write it in your free consultation form. We should know if you use some medications. Medications such as aspirin are not allowed at least 2 weeks prior to the surgery because it prevents blood from clotting.
However, you have to bear in mind that every patient is different. We expect you to be realistic and listen to our doctor’s advice. We have patients that we transplant over 5000 grafts however we cannot harvest 5000 grafts from every patient, because it is not healthy and it will damage your donor area.
Basically, as long as you have dense donor area, your general condition is good and you are at least 25 years old, there is no any obstacle for hair transplant. We will ask you to quit alcohol and cigarettes at least one week before and after the surgery.
In case that you are afraid of needle and pain, we would like to say that the process is painless (regarding what our patients said) and needles are so tiny that you will not feel the pain just some kind of pricking.
If you decided to undergo the process, the first step is to fill out our free consultation form, so you can get more information about your case.
