For women who are not satisfied with their breast development as they wished, we advise Breast Augmentation (or Breast Enlargement). You are allowed to take a Breast Augmentation surgery when you are 18 years and older. The breasts are enlarged surgically using saline or silicone implants. The surgery will be performed according to your wishes. The result will give you beautiful equally shaped breasts. If you have saggy breasts we can advise you to do breast uplift surgery in combination with breast enlargement.
Before Surgery
We highly recommend you to stop smoking as this will influence the healing process of the wound. Smoking after the surgery is not permitted for the same reason as mentioned above. Medication could also affect the healing process. Medication such as aspirin and certain anti-inflammatory drugs prevent the blood from clotting, which is not good for the healing process. Ask your doctor about preoperative instructions with your medication.
The Surgery
Breast enlargement is a simple surgery, whereby a small incision is made. There are three kinds of incision that can be applied: axillary, at the underarm level, periareolar, surrounding the areola or under the breast. In all three cases, the incisions are very small, in order to make the scar almost invisible.
The surgery will be performed under general anaesthetic and will take one to two hours. If the surgeon will create a cavity where the breast implants will be placed, either directly under the mammary tissue or under the pectoral muscle. This will be decided prior to the surgery.
After Surgery
If the surgeon applied a drain during the surgery, then it will be removed within 24 hours. The incisions will be covered with a light dressing and you must wear a special surgical supportive bra. This bra should be worn at all time (even when you sleep) for two to three weeks.
You are not allowed to sleep on the abdomen for a period of five weeks. Within a few days after the surgery, you can shower. Your surgeon will give you further instructions on how to exchange the dressing. We strongly advise you to stay at your hotel for at least four days to take you for a free checkup to the clinic, in order to keep seeing how your incisions recover.
You can return to your daily activities after a few days, however, you must strictly avoid lifting object over the head or make fast movements during the first four to six weeks. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to lift small children, therefore you need a plan for additional help during the initial recovery period.
